Lenovo appoints Westcoast as fourth UK datacentre distributor

Westoast has specifically worked with Lenovo’s Intelligent Device Group

Lenovo has revealed its Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) business has appointed Westcoast as another distributor as part of its new strategy for the UK and Ireland.

The move sees Westcoast become ISG's fourth distributor alongside Arrow, Northamber and Tech Data.

Westcoast has previously worked with Lenovo's Intelligent Device Group, but adding ISG will see the distributor offer all end-to-end solutions and services in line with the Lenovo 360 framework.

"Lenovo is highly committed to our partner ecosystem and our 'Channel First' strategy delivers a global framework via Lenovo 360," said Ian Jeffs, general manager of Lenovo Infrastructure Group.

"Our existing ISG distributors support the UK's biggest blue-chip companies, public sector organisations and SMB and Mid-Market partners. Working with Westcoast, we can collaborate with even more partners, giving the channel access to our smarter infrastructure solutions that are personalised for their customers."

Paul Harman, technology solutions director at Westcoast, said the move will benefit both companies, as well as partners and customers.

He added: "Lenovo's clear commitment to provide easier access to the entire Lenovo portfolio across devices, infrastructure, and services and solutions will allow us to provide a new offering to our resellers."
