New Norton programme to expand cyber safety via resellers and distributors

Norton has expanded the availability of its new programme for resellers and distributors by rewarding partners who help further consumer cyber safety.

The Norton Empower Reseller Programme will reward partners who sell applicable Norton Empower-enabled products and services to their customers with an "attractive" revenue share programme.

Once partners enroll in the Norton Empower Reseller Programme, they are eligible for revenue share when their end user renews their Norton subscriptions directly on the Norton eStore for up to three successive renewal years.

"We're excited to expand the Norton Empower Reseller Program to offer our strong network of existing partners - as well as potential new partners - an even better way to work with the Norton brand," said Steve Wilson, U.K. and Ireland director at NortonLifeLock.

"Through the Norton Empower Reseller Program, we want to help our partners to be as successful as they can be in selling Norton products and services. When our partners succeed, we succeed, and more consumers can access Cyber Safety."

This comes as Norton's Cyber Safety Insights Report showed nearly half of consumers in the UK (48 per cent) have ever been a victim of cybercrime, with around three in 10 (29 per cent) reporting they have experienced cybercrime in 2021.

Thirty-two percent of UK consumers detected unauthorised access to an online account and one in five (20 per cent) detected malicious software (e.g., spyware, ransomware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, adware, etc.) on a computer, Wi-Fi network, smartphone, tablet, smart home, or other connected device.
