Sage expands Microsoft partnership by integrating more products to help SMBs
Sage claims the move will support it in giving customers a choice of cloud platform
Sage has announced it is expanding its partnership with Microsoft with plans to integrate more of its business products into the company.
The HR and payroll technology firm for SMBs is set to include Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams as embedded services in Sage products and the Sage Digital Network.
Sage claims the move will support it in giving customers a choice of cloud platform "as well as the ability to collaborate and communicate where work happens".
It says the expanded partnership will provide simplification, improved reliability and productivity.
"The need for more business flexibility and resilience has never been greater," said Stacy Schuettler, president of LBMC Technology Solutions.
"Together, Sage and its partners are helping to accelerate the transformation of customers' businesses into intelligent and frictionless organizations that run with confidence in the cloud.
"Sage has been at the forefront of supporting businesses for 40 years - we are excited by the new horizons this partnership provides and the opportunities it will give our customers to be more productive and simplify their operations."
In July, Sage published its first early release of Sage Active with select customers.
It is a new integrated Business Management Solution built on Microsoft Azure.
Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Cloud + AI at Microsoft, said: "Bringing together Sage's financial expertise, with the power of the Microsoft Cloud, our partnership will deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that will empower millions of SMBs around the world to be more productive, reduce costs, and grow their businesses."
