European Electronique installed infrastructure to provide around the clock support for the events
European Electronique says it was "thrilled" to be able to provide the University of Birmingham with the digital support it needed for the Commonwealth Games.
The university was the main campus village hosting athletes during the tournament earlier this year, with the hockey and squash competitions also being held there.
Having the university as a customer, European Electronique were able to install infrastructure to provide around the clock support for the events.
Working with Aruba, the UK systems integrator says it was able to use its engineers to deliver this while also supplying hardware and networking solutions to facilitate support.
European Electronique also supported the athletes' village facilities by installing Aruba OSCX switches, which were additionally installed to support the university's CCTV security systems.
The company said in a statement: "As a long-standing leading provider of communications and IT solutions, delivering a real-world approach to the design, deployment, management, and support of business-critical IT networks, we were thrilled to be able to contribute and offer our extensive experience and IT knowledge within complex network environments and provide the university with the digital support required."
