NTT creates '$30bn IT services powerhouse' through launching NTT Data Inc.
NTT and NTT Data have finalised its creation of NTT Data Inc
NTT and NTT Data claims it is creating an IT services "powerhouse" as the two companies finalised the creation of NTT Data Inc.
The two business have launched their combined international business in a move it says accelerates clients' IT modernisation and digital transformation.
"This consolidation creates an IT services powerhouse with total revenues of approximately $30bn," a statement said.
Japanese headquartered NTT has grown its international business by more than 20 per cent since 2007.
The group claims NTT DATA Inc represents an "unmatched" range of business and technology consulting, industry solutions, application and digital services, edge-to-cloud infrastructure, BPO, systems integration, and global data centres.
It will be headed by Kazuhiro Nishihata, who has over 25 years of experience leading international businesses.
"This new beginning enables us to accelerate growth outside of Japan. Together we will connect people and technology to create a more sustainable future," Nishihata said.
"We will continue to focus on clients and people first as we transform our company to deliver a full stack of innovative services."
Gard Little, VP of global services markets and trends at IDC, added: "As enterprises continue to strategically invest in digital services and applications, equal consideration must be given to the infrastructure and operational best practices that support them.
"By bringing together NTT DATA and NTT Ltd., the newly formed entity will have the ability to deliver truly advanced digital innovations underpinned by robust end-to-end capabilities."
