Telehouse Europe names new managing director to spearhead European expansion

Global colocation provider Telehouse Europe has bolstered its executive leadership team with the appointment of Takayo Takamuro as its new managing director.

Previously holding the role of deputy MD for Telehouse Europe, Takamuro's promotion sees her take responsibility for the leadership and development of the group.

Takamuro will play a key role in driving innovation and improving customer experience across the business and continue to be based in London, the European headquarters for Telehouse.

She has more than 25 years' experience in the datacentre industry, joining Telehouse in 2021 from parent company KDDI, a Japanese telecommunications provider.

Takamuro started her career in the telecoms industry in 1995, before moving on to lead global sales and business development for major manufacturers and finance companies.

Telehouse Europe grows footprint

She takes on the new role during a key growth period for Telehouse following the launch of its largest facility, Telehouse South, in London Docklands in the spring, Europe's most connected datacentre campus, Telehouse claims.

The company boasts a datacentre roster of more than 40 across over 20 cities, in over ten countries.

The newest datacentre is the company's fifth Docklands based facility and supports the growing need for resilient colocation services as well as access to leading cloud players and managed services, Telehouse said.

"It's a very exciting time to be leading Telehouse Europe," Takamuro said.

"The company has a long-established reputation for excellence in the connectivity and datacentre market, and we are deeply committed to bringing reliability, resilience, and best-in-class connectivity to each and every one of our customers across the continent.

"I look forward to developing ambitious plans for the future alongside more efficient, effective, and sustainable ways of working."
