Gary Lomas leaves Ingram Micro Comms-care business

Ingram Micro has announced that the sales director of its Comms-care arm, Gary Lomas, is leaving the business.

Lomas started at the distributor in 2020, and spent seven years at value-added reseller Logicalis in a variety of sales director roles prior to joining the Ingram Micro company.

"I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as sales director at Onnec," Lomas said in a LinkedIn post.

He added that he is leaving Ingram Micro for global integrator Onnec.

"I would like to thank Ingram Micro, Comms-care, Matthew Sanderson and Simon Day for giving me the chance to work for such a fantastic company for the last 2.5 years which is full of so many talented people.

"The new journey starts today and I very much look forward to being part of the future success for Onnec."

New leadership at Ingram Micro Comms-care

Ingram Micro has says it has appointed Alex Wilmot (pictured) as the new managing director for Comms-care.

Comms-care is a strategic service partner to the IT channel community, delivering outcomes and growth for partners through streamlined channel-only IT solutions.

Ingram Micro told CRN Wilmot will define the go-to-market strategy for Comms-care in his new role.

Wilmot has spent the last four years at managed service provider, Redcentric, most recently as its MD for cloud services.

Prior to this he spent three years at cloud reseller Daisy Group as its cloud solution director and director of technical & service design.
