Reseller Highgate IT makes four-day week official

After a trial starting in April this year, the partner is committing to keeping a four-day week for its staff

Reseller Highgate IT Solutions has today announced it is has embraced a four-day working week, believing itself to be the first UK channel business to do so.

Highgate IT sales director Bob Sahota will be speaking to CRN shortly to share more details.

The company announced the news on LinkedIn.

The reseller first announced it was to trial a four-day week in March of this year.

Starting on Aril 1st, the VAR experimented with a "buddy system" to pair up staff to work on alternating days to cover each other.

Highgate IT is a Cisco, Lenovo, Dell, Microsoft, HP and Smoothwall partner, founded in 2010.

Based in East Sussex, the VAR said that services to customers will not be impacted by its new working model.

It has framed its "adaptability" to new working expectations and priorities around work-life balances as "100 per cent pay for 80 per cent of time in return for 100 per cent productivity".
