Computacenter CFO Tony Conophy retires
Conophy is a 24-year veteran of the group and will depart in 2023
Computacenter has announced that its chief financial officer Tony Conophy is set to retire next year.
The IT services provider has appointed Christian Jehle as CFO and executive director of the company to replace Conophy.
Jehle is set to join Computacenter and its board between 24 March 2023 and 1 July 2023.
Conophy has agreed to then remain with the company for a further period (anticipated to be for three months) to enable an appropriate transition to Jehle to take place.
Jehle will move from his current role as CFO and executive director for the UK & Ireland division of data analytics group Experian, where he has worked for more than two and a half years.
Prior to this he was CFO of global decision analytics at Experian.
He began his career as a graduate at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, and prior to joining Experian, held a number of commercial and finance roles at Accenture, First Data International and SAP SE, including as CFO, Japan, and CFO, UK & Ireland, during his time at SAP.
"It is hard to overstate the contribution that Tony Conophy has made during his time at Computacenter, following his appointment as the group's Chief Financial Officer in 1998," said Computacenter CEO, Mike Norris.
"I would personally like to thank Tony for his wise counsel, unwavering support and exceptional service during that time.
"It has been a great privilege to have worked closely alongside him, and on behalf of the board and employees across the Group, I would like to wish him all the very best for his upcoming retirement."
Norris added he and the board look forward to working with Jehle as Computacenter continues to further develop its finance function as the needs of the business changes.
