Brother UK capitalises on rise in MPS demand with latest launch

Business printing solutions provider Brother UK has launched a flagship professional colour laser range for the first time as it looks to close the gap on competitors with office workgroup and mid-range class models.

The new devices have been designed to extend the business's managed print services (MPS) offering, which will now enable reseller partners to specify Brother printers for customers with the highest print volume requirements.

Brother claims the launch comes as channel resellers are set to see a sharp rise in demand for MPS agreements, with IDC research showing that 60 per cent of organisations will have moved to a subscription-based model for printing by 2024 to support hybrid working.

"This launch marks an important milestone for Brother as we expand our print solutions offering to suit the needs of the modern office. The new models extend our offering in colour laser to compete at the top-end of the market," said Brother UK general manager - sales, services and solutions, Greig Millar.

"We know this is vital for MPS partners that are catering for businesses with the highest print volume requirements. They can now specify Brother for all their customers' printing needs, rather than choosing models from a mix of vendors.

"These workhorse A4 models also prove to be a strong and cost-effective alternative to the heavyweight A3 professional printers on the market, especially for customers in sectors like healthcare and legal services where A3 use is limited."

Customers purchasing the new models on an MPS agreement will gain automated toner deliveries, extended warranties of up to three years, streamlined workflows, usage tracking and access to security solutions.

The range of four devices are designed to produce a competitive cost-per-page, making them a more cost-effective option for businesses looking for the best quality A4 print solution, Brother claims.

Brother ramps up support for resellers

At its recent Brother Key Partner Conference held at Red Bull Racing's MK7 in Milton Keynes, the vendor said it is pivoting to increase its support for resellers looking to offer managed print services (MPS).

It launched its new Workplace by Brother campaign, which aims to build awareness around the vendor's services to solve the key issues facing businesses as they transition to the new way of working: security, achieving cost-efficiencies and boosting sustainability.
