Focus Group appoints exec trio for 'supercharged growth'

New CFO, CTO and CRO appointments at West Sussex-based IT solutions provider

Focus Group has a new-look executive line up following its appointment of a new CFO, CTO and CRO.

The West Sussex-based comms and IT solutions provider, which now has 800 staff, said the treble appointment will prepare it for "more supercharged growth in 2023".

Focus' exec refresh includes the appointment of CFO Charlene Friend (pictured), whom it said "brings an outstanding track record of driving organic growth and M&A".

The former Acosta Europe CFO was recognised as one of Management Today's 35 Women under 35 in 2019.

Focus has also promoted its technical director, Vicki Rishbeth, to the role of CTO and sales director, Rhys Bailey, to the chief revenue officer post.

Bowmark Capital-backed Focus' fiscal 2021 revenues hiked from £80m to £116m. In August, it resumed its M&A spree by snapping up Oxfordshire-based UC provider STL Communications.

"Our executive leadership team continues to evolve with the business and is focused on putting our people first, preparing Focus Group for scale and continuing the high-growth trajectory of the last few years," CEO Barney Taylor said.
