Flotek on Cloud9ine with third acquisition of 2022
Acquisitive MSP makes third purchase inside six months
Cardiff-based MSP start-up Flotek has announced its third acquisition inside six months in the shape of Swansea peer Cloud9ine Communications.
Only founded itself in 2022, Flotek is on an M&A drive after receiving "substantial backing" from finance firm Tower Leasing. It operates in South Wales and the South West.
The Cloud9ine deal will boost Flotek's technical knowledge and expertise in large data cabling projects, cloud telephony and CCTV, Flotek CEO Jay Ball said.
Flotek announced its second acquisition - that of Plymouth-based Microsoft, Dell and Veeam partner MazingTree - in November.
It had previously snapped up legal and professional services specialist IT provider Gower Business Systems in August, adding £1.2m to its revenues.
Founded in 2018, Cloud9ine is included within the NHS Framework as an approved supplier for Data Cabling Networks and a HM Government Approved G-Cloud Supplier.
"The role of companies such as Cloud9ine was highlighted during the pandemic, ensuring the NHS and other public sector organisations stayed connected and operated efficiently while under unprecedented strain," Ball said.
"Cloud9ine's agility and level of service earned them a stellar reputation and we're excited to expand Flotek's portfolio, unlocking greater pitching ceilings in this field, buoyed by the calibre of our ever-expanding Group."
