HPE promotes Matt Harris to lead UK&I and MEA regions
Currently heading up the UK business, Harris extends his remit to cover the Middle East and Africa
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) today announced that Matt Harris has been appointed to the role of managing director for the UK, Ireland, Middle East, and Africa.
Harris currently leads HPE's UK business and extends his leadership to the Middle East and Africa, tasked with driving continued growth and collaboration across this important country group.
He will report to Heiko Meyer, chief sales officer at HPE, and focus on developing the company, supported by the new Customer Lifetime Value organisation, which will put data "at the heart" of HPE's commitment to deliver customer outcomes.
"With more than 18 years of experience in the industry, and a phenomenal track record for leading successful teams and engaging with customers and partners on their digital transformations, Matt is the right person to lead this critical region for HPE," said Meyer.
"Matt has a leadership philosophy that focuses on creating a better organisation for future generations. I have no doubt that this mentality will take our organisation to new heights as the leading edge-to-cloud company for our customers and partners."
Harris joined the organisation as an intern in 2004 and has since worked across the business and into every major customer sector, from public sector to large global accounts.
He moved into the UK leadership organisation in 2013, firstly as UK sales manager for storage, then as GM for servers, before taking over the UK&I Hybrid IT business.
Harris has been an HPE vice president since 2018 and moved into the role of UK MD in 2022.
