Atos sells logistics software business to VAR Hardis Group

Atos has sold its Spanish logistics software business, Sislog, to French VAR Hardis Group, two months after it sold off its global UCC arm to Canadian vendor Mitel.

The deal with Hardis is part of Atos' divestment plan to sell "non-strategic assets" for a total amount of €700m by end of its H2 2023.

Atos confirmed to CRN that its latest divestiture was made as part of the IT services giant's Board of Director's 'Transformation Journey' to balance its books.

Currently, five business units have either been sold or closed to date as part of this drive.

"This divestment plan is well on track and we are confident to finalise it by end of the year as we already initiated 80 per cent of the total amount in just eight months," an Atos spokesperson said.

Atos has also recently been at the centre of rumours regarding its decision to spin out its cybersecurity and big data division into a separate company.

Hardis strategy: Growth in the Iberian and South American channels

Hardis claims the acquisition will give the Group a leading position in Spain.

Sislog has legacy brand recognition in the Iberian market having been founded in Spain in 1998.

Yvan Coutaz, managing director of Hardis Group said: "With this acquisition and the addition of our new colleagues from Sislog, we will have solid foundations on which to accelerate our growth in Spain and Portugal, and to further penetrate the logistics solutions market in South America."

Sislog specialises in the development of software solutions to optimise warehouse and procurement process-related logistics operations.

It claims it has around 100 customers and 400 implementations of its warehouse management solution in Spain, Portugal, and South America - mainly in the distribution, consumer products, pharmaceutical and logistics service sectors.

With the addition of Sislog's 60 employees, based in Madrid, Barcelona, and Bilbao, Hardis Group Iberia's team will grow to 75 people.

A complementary solution?

Hardis said Sislog's warehouse management solution is recognised for its ease of integration and use, as well as for its robustness and will complete its software portfolio.

"This acquisition is particularly relevant for the Spanish market," said José Porto, Operations Manager at Hardis Group Iberia. "Sislog WMS will complement Reflex WMS, allowing Hardis Group to cater to all market segments, from SMEs to multinational companies."
