Orange Cyberdefense and Microsoft to collaborate on two new managed services
Managed workspace protection and managed threat detection for Microsoft 365 Defender are designed to detect, investigate and stop attacks at scale
Cybersecurity provider Orange Cyberdefense is launching two managed security services that will bolster the security features of Microsoft 365 Defender.
Paris-headquartered Orange Cyberdefense said the two new services will complement the existing managed detection and response service based on Microsoft Sentinel launched in 2022.
The Orange Group cybersecurity entity claims these two new services will enable companies of any size to get the most out of their investment in Microsoft 365 Defender.
The launch is part of Orange Cyberdefense's collaboration with Microsoft to provide managed services on top of the tech titan's security solutions to customers.
Orange Cyberdefense became part of the Microsoft ecosystem in June 2022 when it joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) and now has more than 130 Microsoft certified experts.
In February 2023 Orange announced its plans to expand in the cybersecurity sector, a market that is growing strongly.
Orange is planning to become a European leader, targeting revenues of €1.3bn by 2025.
The service
Orange Cyberdefense says managed workspace protection for Microsoft 365 Defender will protect against the most common risks targeting organisations' endpoints, identities, emails and web experience.
The Orange Cyberdefense threat intelligence, on the other hand, is designed to block the most advanced attacks.
The company also claims the technology is aimed at simplifying the cybersecurity management across all Defender modules and continuously improve security posture using proactive secure score management and release management.
Finally, managed threat detection for Microsoft 365 Defender is expected to help provide security incident management, remote response, threat hunting and custom detection rules across all Microsoft 365 Defender modules.
"The launch of these two services is an important step forward to create a one-stop-shop for all Microsoft-related activities within Orange Cyberdefense to empower every organisation to stay secure," said Laurent Célérier, executive vice-president for technology & marketing at Orange Cyberdefense.
"We can improve their security efficiency and threat visibility with our managed security services across Microsoft solutions."
