Tangible Benefit acquired

German reseller Bechtle is continuing its international expansion with the acquisition of British hardware procurement VAR Tangible Benefit.

Founded in 1997, London-based Tangible Benefit has a head count of 66 employees.

Its core business is hardware sales, plus plug-and-play services and software licensing, security and network services and lifecycle management.

In the 2021/22 fiscal year, the company logged €70m in revenues.

Company founder, Timothy Trotman, said he will remain with the company for the transition phase to oversee its integration into the Bechtle Group before handing over the reins.

All other senior managers will remain in their current positions at the London office.

The acquisition is part of the VAR giant's strategy to expand in the UK market.

Five months ago, Bechtle UK acquired UK IT service provider ACS Systems.

At the time of the ACS Systems buy, Bechtle UK MD James Napp said one of the partner's aims was to scale the business to become one of the top 10 IT solutions providers in the UK market.

Combined with other offices in Manchester, Northampton and Chippenham, this acquisition now sees Bechtle UK extend its footprint across the UK.

"I'm deeply impressed by the extraordinary spirit and ambition shown by the highly qualified and motivated Tangible Benefit team," said Bechtle EVP France, Benelux, and the UK Konstantin Ebert.

"They will be a fantastic addition to the Bechtle family and I'm very much looking forward to facing the future together."

Tangible Benefit sales director Nick Barrett, added: "Our top priority was ensuring our staff's future was secure and that our customers could continue to count on us to deliver added value."
