Softcat, Insight and Trustmarque get nod for near-£2bn framework
Vertical Application Solutions framework is aimed at local authorities, as well as blue light, education, community health and social care organisations
Trustmarque, Insight and Softcat are among 81 suppliers to make the cut for a new vertical software framework aimed at local authorities.
With an estimated purse of £1.84bn, the Vertical Application Solutions (VAS) framework went live last month.
The Crown Commercial Service-run framework will also target blue light, education, community health and social care organisations.
Together with the Software Design and Implementation Services, Big Data & Analytics and Back Office Software frameworks, it replaces the Data and Applications Solutions Framework, which comes to an end on 22 May 2023.
Its 81 suppliers include IT services giants such as Atos and Accenture and resellers Softcat, Insight and Trustmarque. Microsoft partner Tisski and Oracle ally Inoapps are among the business applications-focused channel partners making the cut.
The framework is divided into five Lots, namely Business Applications Solutions, Education, Community Health and Social Care Solutions, Housing, Environment and Planning Solutions, Citizen Services and Blue Light Solutions.
It will run for 30 months, with an option to extend for a further 18. There is no maximum contract length for call-off contracts.
