Mimecast appoints new SVP for EMEA
Former DriveNets and Juniper Networks James Morgan to head up the region
Cybersecurity vendor Mimecast has appointed James Morgan as its senior vice president for the EMEA region.
With a career spanning 30 years in the networking and security industry, Morgan joins Mimecast from DriveNets, where he scaled the company's EMEA revenue, channel, and service offerings.
At Mimecast he will be responsible for the EMEA GTM strategy, leading internal teams and working with partners across the region to help organisations safeguard their data, people and communications.
Morgan has experience in growing established regions, launching in new markets, and building EMEA as a high-performance theatre.
Before DriveNets, he spent six years at Juniper Networks, running the enterprise business across EMEA for over three years.
He held technology leadership and entrepreneurial roles across distribution, VAR, and MSP preceding his time at Juniper.
"I am excited to be joining the Mimecast team, who are at the forefront of securing the digital workspace," he said.
"Being able to collaborate with a talented team of cybersecurity experts is an incredible opportunity.
"There is a lot of potential in the EMEA market, and I believe I will be able to help Mimecast build strong partnerships in the region and guide organisations to navigate the challenging cybersecurity landscape with confidence."
David Helfer, CRO at Mimecast added: "We are excited to have James join our EMEA team. His channel expertise will help us strengthen relationships with both existing and prospective partners and provide the right solutions for them and their customers.
"The three decades worth of experience he brings will be a huge benefit to our company as we continue to execute our channel strategy."
Morgan's appointment comes just months after Mimecast appointed another former Juniper Networks channel veteran, Stan de Boisset, as head of channel.
