WATCH: CEO Killer Question - Market trends partners should be aware of

Ian Rae Killer Question V1

The ability to have solutions that fit well in a more software and API driven IT world is vital to staying afloat as the complexity of customer environments continues to increase.

This is according to Aptum' new CEO Ian Rae, who joined the MSP last month following the exit of previous chief exec, Susan Bowen.

Rae entered the scene when Aptum acquired his company CloudOps in January and recently told CRN this integration of businesses was top of mind for him in his new role.

In this latest instalment of CRN's video series, CEO Killer Questions, Rae makes his top picks for market trends he believes channel partners need to take into consideration now.

"I think we're finally seeing even networking components, which were probably the slowest to evolve to a more software defined universe, starting to have all of those those capabilities," he said.

"And then I think, when you're in the channel, you not only have to think about how do the pieces fit together, but I think there's there's a big shift in how customers are acquiring the pieces. A good example is the rise of the hyperscaler marketplaces."
