AddSecure expands arsenal with mobile security and connected mobility through new acquisition

Clifford Group will now be part of the European IoT connectivity and end-to-end solutions provider

AddSecure has announced the closing of its Clifford Group acquisition, a multi-brand telematics company in the Benelux.

The deal provides the European IoT connectivity and end-to-end solutions provider with access to advanced mobile security and connected mobility solutions.

"This acquisition is an important step in our European growth strategy as we seek to ensure AddSecure is well positioned in key IoT verticals and to sustain our competitive advantage", said Stefan Albertsson, CEO of AddSecure.

"AddSecure will leverage Clifford's market-leading mobile security and connected mobility expertise and platforms not only for continued growth in the Benelux market, but also for expansion into new markets as well as into adjacent non-automotive verticals.

"Furthermore, the deal will also create cross-sell opportunities."

Clifford Group will become part of AddSecure and established as a new business unit, Smart Mobility, providing telematics and business software solutions within its mobile security and connected mobility segments.

The newly acquired company CEO Huibjan Braafhart will head up this new business arm.

Clifford Group operates under the integrated brands Clifford, Faringwell and Traxgo.

Clifford and Faringwell are exclusive providers of preventive and reactive vehicle security solutions.

Traxgo is Clifford's connected mobility business that ensures and improves coordination within fleet management and contributes to a safer driving environment.

GP Bullhound acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Clifford Group on its acquisition by AddSecure.
