Irish MSP Auxilion is going full steam ahead with its UK expansion strategy following its recent £4m investment in its managed services centre of excellence in Sheffield.

Auxilion's headcount currently stands at around 500 people after tripling its Sheffield team over the past year, adding 40 people in the last six months.

The investment is part of Auxilion's £15m plan for the UK market, which includes an acquisition.

In October last year, Auxilion CEO Philip Maguire revealed the company was in search of a "smaller version of itself" in the UK after admitting it "doesn't have enough customers" here despite an organic growth push.

Speaking with CRN recently, Maguire revealed he was still on the hunt for an acquisition in the UK.

The Auxilion boss also opened up about what lessons he has learned after more than 26 years in a CEO role as part of CRN's CEO Killer Questions series.

Maguire provides insight into how to approach a company expansion, offers words of wisdom around listening to your staff, and states that in the tech industry, the only constant is change, therefore innovation is critical and a key success factor in business.
