Park Place to bolster team and services with acquisition of UK-HQ firm

Park Place continues M&A drive with Xuper buyout

Global datacentre and networking optimisation firm, Park Place Technologies, has completed the acquisition of Xuper Limited, an IT solutions provider based in Derby, UK.

Xuper Limited, founded nearly 40 years ago, has grown to include entities in the UK, the US, and Germany.

The company offers a range of services, with a primary focus on third-party maintenance and professional services.

Xuper's chairman and managing director, Peter Grogan, has announced his retirement alongside the acquisition. He will continue to assist during the transition period, ensuring a smooth handover.

"Agile Equity and Clairfield provided investment banking services to Xuper and facilitated the transaction. We enjoyed working with both teams," said Grogan.

"Their expertise in the industry was invaluable throughout the transaction."

This acquisition holds promise for both Xuper's and Park Place's clients. Xuper's customer base will benefit from Park Place's global reach, access to a vast inventory of parts and engineering expertise.

Additionally, they will have access to Park Place's full portfolio of IT lifecycle offerings, including professional and managed services.

Conversely, Park Place's clients will gain access to Xuper's team of engineers, with an average of over 20 years of industry experience.

"Xuper has a long list of industry accolades and certifications, and nearly four decades of exceptional customer service," said Chris Adams, president and CEO of Park Place Technologies

"For decades, Xuper has been a well-respected brand. Its culture of finding solutions and building long-term partnerships mirrors Park Place's mission. Their commitment to channel partners is a complement to our work with the globe's most accomplished channel companies."

One of the notable aspects of this acquisition is the expansion of Park Place's multilingual service team, further enhancing the company's ability to serve clients around the globe.

This expansion will be bolstered by the capability to provide on-site engineering support, ensuring that international clients receive the same industry-leading services that Park Place Technologies provides in North America.

This is the latest in a series of acquisitions from Park Place, which bought out UK maintenance specialist MCSA in 2019, competitor Curvature in 2020 and a quartet of US purchases in 2022.

In June 2022, Park Place opened a "long awaited" flagship support and operations centre in Cork designed to accommodate its growth and employee expansion.
