SonicWall adds Palo Alto vet to lead UK&I sales amid raft of appointments

Cybersecurity vendor SonicWall has announced the appointment of Stuart Taylor as the senior director of regional sales for the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.

Taylor brings over two decades of channel experience, including channel and partner-focused roles at prominent cybersecurity firms, including McAfee and Palo Alto Networks.

At Palo Alto, his most recent role was as public sector sales director, after joining in 2018 as channel director for Western Europe.

SonicWall's decision to enhance its team reflects the company's commitment to evolving its channel strategy, embracing an outside-in approach, and strengthening its collaboration with partners, the vendor said.

"All my industry experience tells me this opportunity at this time is the best in the business," Taylor stated.

"SonicWall is primed and ready to build an exciting platform story, and I am looking forward to leveraging my skills and experience to fuel our growth. As SonicWall lays out an unparalleled product story to this important region, we will be the cybersecurity firm to watch this year and next."

Strengthening the team across Europe

SonicWall has been actively shaping its European leadership team. In addition to Taylor's appointment, Tristan Bateup has assumed a prominent role within the partner organisation as director, channel sales UK & Ireland.

Kim McCarthy has been promoted to lead field and partner marketing across EMEA under the guidance of the new chief marketing officer, Christine Bartlett, who recently joined from Cisco.

CEO Bob VanKirk recently underscored the vendor's commitment to the channel, while teasing a European and global partner programme rollout in an interview with CRN.
