Hiring in the channel: These firms are actively recruiting in November 2023

As the IT channel nears the end of the year, hiring tends to slow down. Budgets are being drawn up for 2024, staffing levels remain steady and as the holidays start to bite, potential hires tend to be pushed forward to Q1.

Even so, the larger firms in the channel are continuing large-scale or ad hoc recruitment drives in November. Here are the UK channel companies who are currently advertising for open roles in the UK.

Softcat

The UK's largest reseller is hiring across around 50 open roles in November, according to its website and LinkedIn.

11 of these roles are in business operations, eight in commercial, three sales and 17 technical roles.

The company is also recruiting for several places in its 2024 apprenticeship scheme.

Based in Marlow, Softcat is recruiting across the UK. The vast majority of vacancies are based in Marlow, but the reseller is also recruiting in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, among others.

Infinity Group

The UK MSP currently has six open roles across its UK business - five roles based in Tunbridge Wells and one - IT implementation consultant - based in London.

Infinity is also currently hiring for a head of project delivery, two sales roles and a marketing executive, according to the company's website and LinkedIn. The firm has a total headcount of 150 after its acquisition of RedkiteCRM in October.

Kerv Global

MSP Kerv Global is currently recruiting across 13 roles in the UK.

These include two marketing roles and 11 technical and operations roles across the entry and mid-levels, according to the company.

Among these are three engineering roles in professional services, network security and DevOps.

Westcoast

The UK distie is "continuously hiring", according to MD Alex Tatham. The distributor currently has six open roles across sales, marketing and operations.

"For us, the skills gap is not as acute as elsewhere," Tatham tells CRN. "I see distribution as a great place to start and grow a career, because there is so much you can learn on the job."

According to LinkedIn, the vacancies at Westcoast span the entry and mid-senior level, with one role - cloud service desk manager - listed as executive level.

All roles are UK based, across Nottingham and Reading, where the Thames Valley distributor is headquartered.

SCC

The MSP is on a hiring drive after a spate of acquisitions this year.

The firm currently has 61 permanent vacancies listed on its website and LinkedIn, with 12 technical roles up for grabs and the rest split across operations, sales and marketing.

The open positions span the entry through mid-senior levels.

This follows the group's addition of 150 staff with its buyout of digital transformation consultancy Nimble in September.
