Bechtle reshuffles Netherlands leadership with promotions for PQR's Kasius, van Rinsum

Germany-based reseller, Bechtle, has appointed Marijke Kasius, the former CEO of PQR as vice president, responsible for the Bechtle Group companies in the Netherlands, effective 1 January 2024.

PQR, a specialist in hybrid cloud solutions, integrated into the Bechtle group in May 2022.

The restructuring involves a two-person leadership team for PQR, with Marc van Rinsum stepping in as co-managing director, also effective 1 January, 2024.

Van Rinsum, previously the managing director of Fondo—an IT service provider acquired by Bechtle in April 2023—brings valuable experience to his new position within PQR.

This strategic move not only solidifies Bechtle's presence in the Netherlands but also aims to foster growth and enhance competitiveness in the region, according to the company.

Kasius, now reporting to COO Konstantin Ebert, is expected to apply her expertise in hybrid cloud solutions and her extensive network to drive the expansion of Bechtle's activities in this crucial growth market.

Konstantin Ebert, the incoming COO of IT e-commerce at Bechtle AG, expressed confidence in Kasius's appointment, stating: "Naming Marijke Kasius as vice president is a crucial step towards cementing our position in the Netherlands. We are confident that her experience, excellent network, expertise, and leadership skills will be just the impetus we need to expand our activities in this important growth market."

Kasius, an entrepreneur with a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), will remain based in Utrecht to capitalise on existing networks.

With 15 years of leadership experience in various IT companies, she is also a consultant for the Bodegraven-Reeuwijk city council and contributes her expertise in digital education to The Learning Network.

The management reshuffle comes on the heels of a €300m fundraising round the reseller completed last week through convertible bonds.
