DataSolutions becomes first UK distributor for ControlUp
Distribution deal will help ControlUp take aim at employee productivity in the age of hybrid work
Specialist distributor DataSolutions has announced a strategic distribution partnership with digital employee experience (DEX) vendor ControlUp.
"DEX is in the spotlight, and for good reason," commented Brian Davis, group cloud sales director, DataSolutions.
"DEX solutions ensure that employees have seamless, productive, and satisfying digital interactions within their work environments. The right DEX solution can boost team morale, free up resources for IT teams and even contribute to long-term business success. To deliver these benefits, DataSolutions has teamed with ControlUp."
ControlUp's DEX platform provides a comprehensive view of every aspect of IT infrastructure, from datacentres in the cloud to physical endpoints, VDI environments and unified applications. Thousands of metrics are analysed to deliver true real-time monitoring - something that positions ControlUp uniquely in the DEX space.
"ControlUp is embarking on a new channel-first approach in 2024, and our distribution partnership with DataSolutions is integral to this goal," said James Dunn, channel director at the vendor firm.
"We fully recognise the indispensable role of distributors and partners in facilitating growth and market expansion. After extensive market evaluation, DataSolutions emerged as the ideal partner for ControlUp, due to their proactive approach to complete solution sales and marketing."
Additionally, ControlUp's capabilities in monitoring Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft virtual desktop technologies give partners the ability to support their customers with the simplification and optimisation of VDI or Desktop-as-a-Service environments.
With the widespread adoption of hybrid work, IT teams have gone from managing a handful of offices to attempting to service thousands of remote and dispersed environments.
ControlUp aims to resolve the resulting issues impacting employee productivity. Spontaneous internet connectivity issues, long log-on times, crashed applications, or poor performance of unified communications - all these factors hinder the employee experience.
"In my 20-plus years of leading some of the most innovative businesses in end-user computing, I attribute a substantial proportion of the success to engaging with the channel," said Jed Ayres, CEO, ControlUp.
"I have worked with DataSolutions for several years, and they have consistently proven their ability to support disruptive vendors in achieving significant growth. I'm excited to be working with them once again at ControlUp, as our primary distributor for the UK and Ireland markets. I believe DataSolutions will play an instrumental role in what is set to be a hugely exciting year ahead for ControlUp and our partners."
This partnership promises abundant opportunities for partners, and both ControlUp and DataSolutions are excited to work with partners to help them acquire new customers and strengthen their presence within their existing client base. Together, ControlUp, DataSolutions, and their partners can enable organisations to meet the growing expectations of their employees, enhance their digital employee experiences, and drive unparalleled productivity.
The news comes on the heels of Irish VAD DataSolutions being acquired by Climb Global in October.
