Agilitas names new COO in newly created role
Sara Wilkes steps into the freshly unboxed job as Agilitas executes its transformation strategy
Agilitas IT Solutions has today announced the appointment of Sara Wilkes in the newly created position as chief operating officer.
An Agilitas spokesperson told CRN the new role is "crucial to Agilitas' transformation strategy and customer experience goals."
She brings 15 years of channel and technology experience and will be responsible for strengthening the company's customer experience strategy.
Wilkes (pictured) joins the global channel services provider from the UK's largest privately owned reseller SCC where she spent more than nine years, most recently as director of customer experience.
During this time she also created and chaired the Diversity and Inclusion Council at SCC, leading to her being ‘highly commended' in the Women of the Year category at the CRN Women & Diversity in the Channel Awards 2023.
Prior to this Wilkes worked at services provider Computacenter for just shy of eight years in various project manager roles.
"We are all delighted to welcome Sara as our new chief operating officer. With extensive experience in the channel, she brings new energy to Agilitas, with the confidence to implement a new vision to the people, transformation and customer experience side of our business," said Agilitas CEO John Hayes-Warren.
"Her leadership and passion for people will help Agilitas build on its progress in delivering a superior customer experience and ensure our vision comes to life."
Wilkes added: "I am joining Agilitas at an exciting time, as the business looks to truly transform its customer experience.
"I have worked closely with the Agilitas team for several years and I'm looking forward to becoming a part of the company's transformation journey now and in the future. Our goal is to become the technology channel's choice to deliver exceptional services to their end customers."
Executive changes at Agilitas
The company welcomed Warren, who had been CRO of the group for the past 12 months, as its new CEO in October following several changes in leadership.
Former chief exec Shaun Lynn stepped down from the top job in February after almost nine years in the role.
This led to Mark Dixon taking the helm as interim CEO and chairman as more departures followed, including CMO Richard Eglon who left the business in March after eight years.
Dixon would continue his position as chairman of the board, working alongside Warren.
