Nvidia signs UK distribution deal with TD SYNNEX

Nvidia has signed a UK distribution deal with TD SYNNEX for its full enterprise software and computing portfolio.

Channel partners will now be able to access Nvidia products or platform requirements, such as Nvidia AI Enterprise and Nvidia Omniverse Enterprise software licenses for developers, through the distribution giant.

The VAD is one of only two full enterprise distributors in the UK for Nvidia, Simon Bennett, MD for advanced solutions in the UK and Ireland at TD SYNNEX tells CRN.

TD SYNNEX's accelerated delivery, flexible credit and finance options, as well as its technical and professional services will also be available to partners with Nvidia's products.

Accelerated computing predicted to drive growth in 2024

"We are planning to support partners with both technical and commercial enablement so they can understand where accelerated computing can and is being applied today and how they can expand their Nvidia offering," Bennett says.

"We will be fully supporting our partners to take advantage of what is expected to be the largest growth area this year."

TD SYNNEX is planning joint go-to-market initiatives with NVIDIA but also with its OEM partners such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, NetApp, Supermicro and VMware/Broadcom, in order to "support resellers find the correct solution with their preferred vendor".

Bennett adds: "Having Nvidia's full enterprise portfolio complements our ever-expanding data and AI vendor offerings. From developing large language model to supplying pre-learnt AI software solutions."

He argues many organisations today depend on complex, hybrid infrastructures that encompass multiple cloud and on-premises resources.

"Nvidia technologies help drive the graphics, HPC and AI performance essential for these intensive workloads."

Bennett notes that this partnership means TD SYNNEX can now meet all partners' Nvidia needs, whether they are looking to deploy its solutions as part of their own designs or as part of other systems' brands.

He concludes: "Nvidia technologies are used within the solutions from many leading vendors that we partner with, such as Dell, HPE and Lenovo, and now, with the extended distribution agreement, we can also provide the full Nvidia portfolio directly to partners as well."

The deal announcement comes as the NYSE-listed distributor recently posted its fiscal fourth quarter and fiscal year earnings, which saw revenues fall.

Fourth quarter revenue came in at $14.4bn, compared to $16.2bn in the prior fiscal Q4, representing a decrease of 11.3 per cent. Overall in FY23, TD SYNNEX saw revenue drop 7.7 per cent from $62.3bn to $57.6bn.

The distie blamed the slump on the continued struggle of its endpoint solutions portfolio that has been plaguing past quarterly results.
