Channel Awards 2024 launch TODAY

Channel Awards 2024 launch TODAY

The Oscars of the IT channel are back, and we have revised and changed more categories this year than ever before

One thing with awards is that it doesn't pay to sit still in an industry that is constantly changing.

That is why, every year, when CRN launches the Channel Awards, there is something new. This year we have revised and rebranded more categories than ever before based on industry feedback. It is vital that everybody in the industry feels they have a category they can enter and there really is something for everyone.

So what is new?

In 2024, the word reseller has been dropped from award titles and replaced with 'partner' - to better reflect terminology used in the industry. Also in the Reseller section, we have also replaced the 'Rising Star' category with the 'One to Watch' Award, and the 'Partner of the Year' revenue brackets have again been revised.

For all three sections: Reseller, Distributor and Vendor, we have launched two new awards: Best DE&I Project/Initiative and Best Sustainability Project/Initiative of the year - again based on feedback. CRN does run two separate awards based on both Diversity and Sustainability, but there was high demand to include these important issues in the Channel Awards too, so we have listened.

In the Vendor section we have launched an award for Vendor Channel Team of the Year to bring recognition to those hardworking teams, and also renamed 'Emerging Vendor' as 'Rising Star' Vendor.

Finally we have added a new General category: AI-Driven/Powered Project of the Year. There is no escaping AI, and there are some amazing examples of how it is being harnessed by the channel to benefit their businesses and customers, so we are hoping for plenty of entries. For the first year it is open to all companies in the channel ecosystem.

As always, every category has a detailed criteria designed to help make the entry process that little bit easier - please do have a read of them before starting your entries.

For those shortlisted in the 'big five' categories - Vendor of the Year, Partner of the Year (£25-£250m), Partner of the Year (£250m+), Distributor of the Year (£100m - £300m) and Distributor of the Year (£300m+), you will be required to present in front of the judges at the Finalists judging day on Wednesday 2 October in central London.

Finally, it is important to say that the Channel Awards wouldn't have reached 31 years without the unwavering support of the industry, so we wanted to say thank you for that support and for making the awards such an important part of the channel calendar.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the team.

The deadline for entries is FRIDAY 28 June. Please visit the dedicated website here for all entry advice. The very best of luck to you all!
