Security unicorn NinjaOne's EMEA channel chief departs vendor

David Gill, EMEA head of channels and alliances at NinjaOne has left the business.

CRN understands that Gill left the endpoint management, security and vulnerability vendor at the end of March, after ten months heading up its EMEA channel organisation.

He joined NinjaOne in May 2023, following three years as global strategic partner manager at London-HQ MSP Aura. Prior to 2020, he held various sales and channel roles across the likes of Avaya, Inclarity and telecoms vendor, ShoreTel prior to its 2017 acquisition by Mitel.

Gill made was named on CRN's inaugural 2024 Regional Channel Chiefs list in February.

Gill and NinjaOne did not respond to requests for comment.

The vendor's channel org is led by Joe Lohmeier, VP of channel sales.

His departure comes on the heels of NinjaOne raising $231.5m in a Series C in February. The funding round was led by ICONIQ Growth with participation by former Snowflake CEO Frank Slootman and Datadog President Amit Agarwal.

It brought the Austin, Texas-HQ vendor's valuation to $1.9bn.

In March, co-founder and CEO, Sal Sferlazza, spoke to CRN US about the firm's ambition to ramp up the development of its MSP platform with both its own IP and with integrations to third-party tools for MSPs.

"We offer the technologies to deliver value both to managed service providers and internal IT departments," Sferlazza said.

"One of the goals in ramping our engineering teams is to build our own products, but also to be part of the narrative that Ninja is part of the stack in every conversation, whether it's a small MSP or big MSP or smaller IT department or a larger IT department."
