Westcon-Comstor to sell Check Point solutions via AWS in further move towards marketplace

Westcon-Comstor has expanded its collaboration with Check Point to become the only distie outside the US, authorised to list Check Point solutions on AWS Marketplace.

Spanning across the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), as well as Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, this collaboration empowers partners to capitalise on accelerated transaction processes, expanded deal scopes, heightened win ratios, and truncated sales cycles facilitated by AWS Marketplace, according to Westcon.

Check Point marks the latest addition to Westcon-Comstor's AWS Marketplace programme roster, following the distributor becoming a Designated Seller of Record (DSOR) with AWS last year.

At the time, Westcon International CEO Europe told CRN: " AWS Marketplace offers an additional route for procurement and consolidated billing. In simple terms, we're enabling our partners and vendors to sell to end-users who want to buy in AWS Marketplace to maximise their cloud budget spend."

This strategic partnership builds on Check Point and Westcon-Comstor's global distribution agreement inked last year, geared towards unlocking new growth avenues for partners via the marketplace model.

Rene Klein, EVP, Westcon Europe at Westcon-Comstor, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded collaboration, stating: "End-users are increasingly drawn to AWS Marketplace, and it's vital that we enable our partners to participate in this growth.

"The way to do that is by giving partners the ability to transact products from the world's leading software vendors in AWS Marketplace, and that's what this agreement with Check Point is all about."
