Infinity Group has acquired Pax8's end-customer business, formerly part of Bam Boom Cloud, and entered into a strategic partnership with the distie.

The buyout brings 200 business central customers into Infinity Group's existing base of 340 clients, the two companies said, and this will sit alongside the reseller's existing business practice areas of Microsoft security, modern workplace, data & AI, and customer engagement.

The acquisition aligns with Infinity's move into the US and EU markets, where the London-HQ group did not previously have a presence.

Infnity declined to comment on the financial terms of the deal.

After "a number of years" of collaboration between the two businesses, the buyout was driven by a mutual alignment, CEO Rob Young (pictured) tells CRN, particularly around Microsoft capabilities.

"First of all, this is strongly aligned to our Microsoft-first approach. Our already proven expertise in the broader Dynamics 365 space is also another factor as we continue to grow our Microsoft practice," he says.

"Ultimately, we are looking to continue to grow within the Microsoft space, and this acquisition allows to do that. This is a key part of Infinity Group's strategy to solidify our place as a leading provider of Dynamics 365 solutions."

The acquisition marks the second deal for the Microsoft MSP, after it acquired Redkite CRM in October 2023, targeting expansion in the social housing sector.

Infinity and Pax8 are also "thrilled" by the long-term opportunities created by the partnership, according to Brett Critchley, VP of business applications at Pax8.

"Our commitment to fostering innovation and positive transformations perfectly mirrors Infinity Group's ethos," Critchley adds.

"This partnership will open up new doors for these end-customers, whilst ensuring commitment to our 100 per cent indirect business model."

"This partnership is mutually beneficial. By becoming a channel partner of Pax8, Infinity Group gains access to a wider pool of resources and expertise. This will allow us to continue to grow and scale our business with greater strategic alignment and joined up GTM approach," Young explains.

"Pax8, on the other hand, benefits from Infinity Group's deep knowledge and experience in the Dynamics 365 space. Together, we can provide a more comprehensive and valuable offering to our mutual clients."

As to how the MSP plans to integrate its second acquisition in just over half a year, Young states that the process has been mapped out in detail, but overall customers will benefit from the expanded expertise provided by Infinity.

"This process has been meticulously planned. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for the newly acquired customers," he says.

"We will be working closely with them to understand their specific needs and ensure they continue to receive the high level of service they are accustomed to.

"They will also now have access to Infinity Group's broader range of services and expertise in the areas of Microsoft security, modern workplace, data & AI, and customer engagement."
