CrowdStrike has expanded its distribution partnership with Ignition Technology to bring the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform to Ignition's Nordic partner base.

The distributor's partner network in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland will gain access to the Falcon platform to drive vendor consolidation and stop breaches.

The duo first joined forces earlier this year in a distribution deal aimed at meeting growing cybersecurity needs in the UK.

Ignition is the NASDAQ-listed vendor's second Nordics distributor alongside Westcon-Comstor.

Chatting exclusively to CRN in Venice, Italy last week for CrowdStrike's Europe Partner Symposium 2024, chief business officer Daniel Bernard and Sean Remnant, chief strategy officer at Ignition tell all about the new deal.

"We were looking for market makers and that's what Ignition brings to the table," explains Bernard.

"We have a healthy business in the Nordics. But we're really looking for a distribution partner that can lean into the platform, have the right technical expertise to recruit the next wave of growth partners to take share.

"I think that's the get up and go attitude of Ignition that we've seen already in our first couple of months working together in the UK."

Expanding on why the Nordics was the region of choice, Remnant says it's a crucial market.

"The Nordics is an important market for us. It's heavily populated by service providers and MSSPs which are very open to new technology and innovation.

"For us it's an easy way to gain market share."

Bernard adds: "For us, we have a lot of large customers there that lean into new tech.

"We want to grow in the enterprise segment below the very large customers. So we need the right kind of partner to hit those customers. And that's why we're diversifying the strategy."
