ServiceNow acquires Raytion to boost AI-powered search capabilities
In a move to strengthen its AI capabilities, ServiceNow is integrating Raytion’s information retrieval technology into its ecosystem
Business transformation vendor, ServiceNow, has acquired Raytion in a move aimed at enhancing its GenAI-powered search and knowledge management capabilities on the Now Platform.
The acquisition will integrate Raytion's information retrieval technology into ServiceNow's ecosystem. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The integration, the vendor said, is expected to provide unified real-time access to business-critical data across multiple enterprise sources, resulting in a more powerful, efficient, and personalised AI search experience.
Jon Sigler, SVP of platform and AI at ServiceNow commented: "ServiceNow is accelerating work, uniting fragmented data into a single, intelligent platform that helps customers access and share knowledge across their organizations."
Valentin Richter, founder and CEO of Raytion, emphasised the benefits of this merger, saying: "The combination of ServiceNow's single platform with Raytion's secure enterprise data integration technology gives businesses a competitive advantage, allowing employees to solve problems and take informed action faster."
This acquisition follows ServiceNow's previous purchases of Enable OH&S technology, Hitch Works, and 4Facility technology.
In an interview with CRN last January, ServiceNow chairman and CEO Bill McDermott talked about the opportunity GenAI provides and the company's commitment to this technology.
He said: "There's a real appetite to invest in GenAI. And there's no price sensitivity around it because the business cases are so unbelievable.
"I mean, if you're improving productivity 40 per cent, 50 per cent, it just sells itself.
"So, I think we're at a really, really good place. The GenAI investments are coming. We're actually getting orders because we have great product."
