CRN continues to practice what it preaches when it comes to sustainability goals by unveiling a new partnership with Nebula to offset all travel for all attendees to the 2024 Channel Awards in Battersea.

As the build-up to the awards begins following the release of the shortlist earlier this week, Nebula, has been unveiled as the ‘Sustainable Travel Partner' of the awards and will offset the return travel emissions of all guests through its partnership with decarbonisation specialist Ecologi.

Richard Eglon, chief marketing officer (CMO) at Nebula, said: "I wanted to thank the CRN team for their support in making this exciting new partnership a reality. Nebula is extremely passionate about sustainability and already commit to ensuring all our partner events are carbon neutral in terms of guests travel to and from events. It was our ambition to apply this approach to the CRN Awards, which is one of the largest attended events in the channel calendar."

To make it a success, the initiative will require some collaboration from the industry. We ask all attendees who would like to participateby filling in a couple of extra details on registration table forms, such as primary mode of transport and origin of travel for each guest.

Eglon added: "Hopefully it will be simple enough to fill in this information on the registration form. If this inspires other companies to accelerate their own sustainability goals then we have achieved our own goals.

"This is not just about Nebula and CRN, it is about the whole community pulling together to make a real difference."

Alan Loader, global SVP of media at CRN' s parent company, The Channel Company, said: "The Channel Awards are now in their 31st year and sustainability has rightly become a top priority for an increasing number of channel firms, including CRN.

"This initiative in partnership with Nebula is a great step to making the Channel Awards more sustainable and an example of how we can all work together to help preserve our planet for future generations."
