Best quarter is to come
Sara Yirrell looks to the future and sees brighter times ahead
Now the bank holidays are over, and as we are yet again feeling cheated out of any kind of summer, it is time to focus attention on the months ahead.
We are within reach of that magical fourth quarter leading up to Christmas.
Despite talk of recession and daily references to the credit crunch, spirits should lift a little as traditionally this period is the busiest time of the year for all businesses.
Granted, the all-important consumer market will be a little stagnant this year, but people will now be feeling refreshed and ready to fight against the predictions of gloom spending money on the latest gadgets and gizmos for Christmas or for a treat to cheer themselves up as the colder months approach.
In particular, CRN has a very busy fourth quarter to look forward to.
We start judging the Channel Awards next week and this is followed very quickly by our annual Channel Golf Challenge.
Then, almost before we have had the chance to draw breath, it is time for a brand new event the Reseller Leadership Forum at the end of the month, followed by the Channel Awards on 13 November.
All the signs point to an event that is even bigger and better than last year.
So, good luck for the next few months. I really hope you smash all your sales figures and will of course join us to celebrate your success at the channel’s biggest party.
