Running up a big total

Health issues have been in the news a lot recently whether it is the health of the economy or the health of the nation, which is apparently now threatened by the latest would-be pandemic swine flu.

Yirrell: Getting in good heart

Three members of CRN’s editorial team myself, Doug Woodburn and Sam Trendall are very much focused on other health issues, such as getting fit, which is why we are in training for the Westcoast 10k Challenge on 12 July this year.

Having run the London Marathon in 2002, 6.2 miles might not sound like a lot, but seeing as I vowed never to run again, it is quite far enough.

We are running for CRN’s chosen charity the British Heart Foundation, but we are looking for sponsorship and hope that our generous readers will give us some support.

Donations can be made on our Just Giving web page at www.justgiving.com/teamcrn we are hoping to raise a lot of money for a very worthy cause. Thanks in advance.

While I am on the subject of charity, I am also seeking auction prizes for the CRN Fight Night. We are in need of appealing prizes that will make people dig deep into their pockets so that we can raise lots of money for a number of worthy charities.

If you know anyone with a holiday home, or can spare corporate tickets to a sporting event, or even a concert we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch if you can help.
