Career so far From working at Psion in its glory days, I left to start Widget, and have spent 20 years building it up to be a distributor.

Do you care about green IT? Not as much as I should.

If you could be in a rock/pop band, which one would it be and who would you be? I would rather be Simon Cowell than in a boy band now.

What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? A launch event for a new GPS one summer evening about three years ago which flew us one way up the Thames in helicopters then brought us back by powerboat.

Has 2009 been as bad as everyone said it would be? No, but it has still had its moments.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes, that distributing the Flip Video range would be an important step for us.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2010? As ever, serving our customers while making a profit ourselves.

What is the best part of your day? That first cup of coffee when I get to work.
