Career so far Pretty successful, never boring and mostly rewarding.

Do you care about green IT? Yes when it makes me money. I’m still waiting!

If you could be in a rock/pop band, which one would it be and who would you be? Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Who wouldn’t mind waking up next to Gwyneth in the morning?

What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? There are two that I just can’t separate; firstly 1990 semi-finals of the World Cup versus West Germany in Turin, where we lost on penalties – the private jet out sealed the event. Secondly was driving a Ferrari to the Spa grand prix in Belgium along with four other F430s from the UK; now that was fun.

Has 2009 been as bad as everyone said it would be? Let’s put it this way, there are no surprises to the companies struggling and no surprises for those doing well. So to cut it short it’s been as expected.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes. Irrelevant of a world wide recession and increase fuel bills the average unit price continues to drop in all sectors – go figure.

What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2010? Interest rates. I see the rates remaining flat throughout the year. However, should the shoots of recovery sprout then trying to keep growth in check by increasing rates will impact spending.

What is the best part of your day? Getting up at 6am with my 17 month old – that’s a good start to the day. Followed by 9pm when I get control of the remote.
