David R. Diamond-Geezer III

Chairman, founder, president and global executive director of enterprise solutions and services, Dodgi Corp

Career so far Incorporated my first company at the age of 12 and became the UK's first mainframe millionaire at 21. Lost the lot on the roulette wheels of Monte Carlo before going to live on a kibbutz. Couldn't resist the clarion call of IT for long and returned to start Dodgi in the early 90s.

Do you care about green IT? I don't care if it's got purple polka dots, so long as I can whack an 80 per cent margin on top.

If you could be in a rock/pop band, which one would it be and who would you be? It's got to be Bruce Springsteen. Like him, I was Born To Run (an IT reseller). My staff even call me 'The Boss' in tribute.

What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? I've been to New York, Paris, Shanghai and all points in between. But the vendor who took me to Romford dogs bought my loyalty for life.

Has 2009 been as bad as everyone said it would be? Nonsense. Orient beat the drop, England won the Ashes, the Jackson family is set to return to Albert Square and I was re-elected as chairman of the Barking and Dagenham Historical Reenactment Enthusiasts. It's been a corker.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Using an intricate combination of deep maths, automatic writing and Excel spreadsheets, I successfully predicted the results of Crufts, Big Brother, the Grand National and the European parliamentary elections.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2010? Competing with my stupefyingly low prices.

What is the best part of your day? 5.31pm. Time to peruse the FT and enjoy a snifter of port at the gentlemen's club. Or maybe a game of darts and a lager top. Just don't tell Her Indoors.
