Career so far: Junior days in professional cricket, then Apex for 18 years – from sales to gaffer.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? An African leader, making a difference to the starving (just like Miss World!). In seriousness, anyone starving today, in a world of indulgence, in my view is totally unacceptable.

What would you have as your last meal? A hot cup of coffee with toast and good homemade marmalade.

What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? IBM to the Masters Golf in Augusta, Georgia.

Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? It’s an opportunity as well as business as usual – selling services and reducing costs.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes, Grand National ‘Don’t Push It’ to win 12/1 and Cheltenham Town getting relegated. Lastly, and I hope this comes true, England retaining the Ashes down under winning 3-1.

What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2011? With little new innovation to consider, the challenge remains to win our fair share of the pie. Fortunately, I have the decision as to whether I eat for two at the moment.

What is the best part of your day? Morning coffee, preparing for the day and the buzz of getting ready to win again.
