Jon Thorpe

Career so far After leaving university, I worked for Wildings for three years before starting acs, aged 25, with co-director John Harley. So far, we've had 16 years of fun and challenges growing the business.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? Nadal - I'd be 22 again, hit a top-spin forehand like he does and play tennis every day in the sun. His girlfriend looks good company
as well.

What would you have as your last meal? Chicken dhansak with mushrooms - happy days.

What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? Ryder Cup 2010, courtesy of HP. The emotion and dancing on the 17th green to beat the Americans will stay with me for ever. You've probably gathered that I like my sport!

Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? Opportunity. We embraced cloud computing four years ago, have had some great wins already and feel well placed for 2011 and beyond.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? We would grow by a minimum 10 per cent - it actually looks like 21 per cent at the halfway stage.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2011? The challenge for traditional resellers is to reinvent themselves to embrace the cloud opportunity.

What is the best part of your day? The pub.
