Career so far: Twenty three wonderful years in the IT industry, banging heads and rubbing shoulders with the best in IT.
If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? I'd be Darren Lewitt, and I'd retire.
What would you have as your last meal? Not really that fussed, as long as someone else did the cooking and it came with a large glass of red, but if I was pushed, a homemade beef stroganoff.
What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? Being on the buying side, I've been spoiled - the trip to New York on Concorde was only surpassed by the 5 Ferraris from the UK to Germany to watch the Spa Grand Prix, then only to be topped by a private jet to Turin to watch England lose to West Germany in the semi-finals of the World Cup in 1990.
Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? At this moment in time it's not clear how distribution will maximise its touch in this space - some are already embracing it. Like the adoption of the internet in business, those who jumped too soon were in search of customers, whereas we arrived when the market was thriving. I have no doubt that any future hurdles will be met with energy and a quick response. Did that answer the question?
Have any of your predictions come true this year? I'm not in the game of guessing, maybe it comes with the job, but I'll leave the crystal ball gazing to others with a little more time on their hands. Oh, I did predict interest rates would stay low and England wouldn't win the World Cup.
What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2011? Government cuts. The threat of redundancy in the public and private sectors is also concerning as their lack of spending will be felt on the high street and on the internet.
What is the best part of your day? Getting home before bedtime and being trampled by two stampeding ankle biters. At that point, life can't get any better - followed swiftly by winning possession of the remote control.
