Tom Kelly
Career so far: I have taken Logicalis from being a Cisco Partner to being one of the leading solution providers in the few to offer systems integration, managed services and hosting facilities in house, alongside an innovative approach to cloud solutions.
If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? It would have to be Sir Alex Ferguson, who is the most highly decorated football manager ever in the UK. I would try to learn from what he has done and take it to the ICT sector and make millions.
What would you have as your last meal? Chilli crab as a starter, followed by turbot and fresh peas, followed by a fine selection of cheeses. I'd have a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with my main meal and a fine Portuguese port with the cheese.
What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? Our in-house awards trips are always excellent, with great company, food and drink alongside some ‘interesting' attractions.
Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? LUK is the leading innovator and cloud solution provider in the UK today. We have invested significantly and see it as a huge opportunity.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? Markets slow with increased margin pressure and more solution innovation being required.
What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2011? Differentiation with solution offerings.
What is the best part of your day? First thing in the morning, when there is no one around and no phones are ringing.
