Jon Godfrey
Career so far: I was a technology buyer for NatWest, then a technology lifecycle consultant and a founder of Life Cycle Services Limited, as well as a campaigner for awareness of residual data security. I've been a director at Sims since 2008.
If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? Michael Eavis for the last weekend in June - I'd drive around in my Land Rover meeting the very best of the music industry.
What would you have as your last meal? Does a Mojito at Sa Trinxa, Salinas Beach count as a meal?
What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? Jonathan Palmer's PalmerSport - a petrol-head in recycling? I know, we are all hypocrites at some level.
Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? All technology change is good - providing your business is able to evolve. Of course, that makes it both.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? None; I also don't have a clue what's going to happen next, but at least I'm ready for it.
What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2011? Finding measurable added value in the days of austerity.
What is the best part of your day? Putting my kids to bed, reading them a story and then maybe a good glass of red wine.
