Ian Kilpatrick

Career so far:

My previous life in accountancy and business consultancy was happily abandoned for 30-plus exciting and varied years at Wick Hill.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do?

Mo Farah. I'd win the 2012 Olympics 5,000m and 10,000m.

Cloud - friend or foe?

It's another change to create opportunities with.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be?

No. Our partners in the UK and Germany are helping us to a record year.

What would you have as your last meal?

Ideally I won't know that I'd had my last meal!

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with?

Kirsty my wife, or failing that Cameron Diaz.

Have any of your predictions come true this year?

Yes. I didn't believe that this would be as good a summer as the summer of '76. I didn't believe some of the overstated hype from some of the over-optimistic cloud suppliers and dreamers.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012?

Finding the right value-add opportunities in what will be a challenging year.
What is the best part of your day? The run at the end of the day.
