If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do?
The education secretary. I would make it law (I realise that it takes more than a week to pass a law but this is a "what if" question) that every child in the UK is trained in NLP.
Cloud - friend or foe?
It is currently an acquaintance that looks quite sexy but I'm not 100 per cent sure of the benefits of a long-term relationship.
Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be?
No. It's been much stronger than expected and stands us in good position to face the challenges and to realise the opportunities that exist in 2012 and beyond.
What would you have as your last meal?
The "fisherman's sea food bucket" at Crabby Bill's Crab Shack on St Petersburg Beach, Florida.
Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with?
A lift engineer.
Have any of your predictions come true this year?
Yes. I predicted Red Bull would win the Formula 1 drivers' championship. I said Steve Kean would be a terrible manager of Blackburn Rovers. And I predicted mobility would drive massive growth.
What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012?
Helping customers to understand the benefits, efficiency and competitive advantage for their business that can be driven through IT.
What is the best part of your day?
The end. It gives me the opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved and to focus on what's to come.
