Career so far: I spent four years in cost accountancy, then set up CMS Peripherals in 1988 and have had an amazing 23-year journey with CMS ever since, and it's getting better every year.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? I would be Arsene Wenger. I would sign Messi, Xavi, Fabregas and Kaka, then make Frank Salmon an honorary president.

Cloud - friend or foe? Friend. It's the way to go for enterprise solutions.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? Not for CMS. We have grown our business and expect that to continue through Q1 of 2012.

What would you have as your last meal? A good traditional Sunday roast with all the dressings and a glass of red wine.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? Maybe Madonna. Then I could tell you what she's best at: dancing or singing.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes, low interest rates. Next year, Greece will default.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? For the next year, keeping credit lines in place across the channel and revenue growth.

What is the best part of your day? Morning and then it's all downhill after that.
