Career so far My career has taken me to Action Computer Supplies, SCC, Insight and now Comparex UK.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? Doctor Who. I would spend the week going back and forth in time, making notes on lottery numbers and share prices. Surely being a time traveller I could also extend this for another week, and another, and another…

Cloud – friend or foe? Friend. Embrace it. It’s going to happen sooner or later.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? Definitely not, unless you are an Arsenal supporter.

What would you have as your last meal? Holy Communion in The Vatican, then a long time in the Confessional.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? Steve Jobs, Socrates and Hugh Hefner.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? I predicted we would all be discussing cloud computing throughout the year, and we still are. But many customers still seem to be thinking “don’t just do something, stand there” for a little while longer.

What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2012? Vendors moving in our channel business.

What is the best part of your day? Calculating the commissions for my wonderful salespeople.
