Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? It's not been bad at all. A lot of channel businesses surviving, very few large VAR collapses.

What would you have as your last meal? Vegetable biryani and three lentil dhal.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? Bertrand Russell, when he was alive.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Only that each day seems to get shorter.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? Staying alive.

What is the best part of your day? Mornings. Time to plot and plan.
